Friday Flashback: Intouch Makes Wishes Come True

Intouch has always prioritized philanthropy and — with the help of our policy granting each employee four hours of paid time off to participate in charitable work — encourages employees to give through service to causes they care about, like the Ronald McDonald House, the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society, Gilda’s Club, the Chicago Food Depository, the Massachusetts SPCA (Humane Society), the Action for Boston Community Development and Toys for Tots. In 2019, Intouchers logged approximately 400 community-service hours, and everyone agrees the time was well-spent! But one of the coolest things we did in 2019 was partnering with the local Make-a-Wish® chapter during our 20th anniversary celebration to grant a young teen’s wish to visit Disney World and the new Star Wars theme park, Galaxy’s Edge.

The wish reveal included stormtroopers, the voice of Yoda, a path lit by a lightsaber arch, and of course, Darth Vader. To get a sense of how we all felt getting to be part of that reveal, check out our video recap.
